Austrian Lotteries: Integrating Storyblok into an existing TYPO3 website

For Austrian Lotteries, rudybohrer integrated Storyblok as an editorial content hub within the existing TYPO3 website, lotterien.at. The aim was to introduce structured content editing while keeping established pages and custom TYPO3 functionality intact. Editors manage articles and SEO metadata in Storyblok, and a custom integration syncs publishing, updates and unpublishing with TYPO3 on demand. This keeps content and publication status aligned without duplicate editorial work. The integration accepts images from both Bynder and Storyblok, applying the client's rules for image-source priority. Reusable button blocks combine labels, styles and links, and custom ordering logic controls how homepage content is arranged. Storyblok provides the editorial environment while TYPO3 continues to render the site. This hybrid approach extends the platform's editorial capabilities and preserves the functionality already built around the client's requirements.
