International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA)
The International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA), which serves the dairy, deli, bakery, and fresh foods industries, relied on a website that was business-critical for member engagement and industry education. However, the organization's site was running on an aging, unsupported platform. Hardcoded templates meant every change required a developer, membership value was buried in PDFs, and webinar content lacked structure or filtering. The project's goals were to eliminate platform risk, replace rigid templates with a flexible component model, and give IDDBA's small team real control over their content. To address these challenges, the team built a reusable component library using nestable blocks, allowing editors to compose pages instead of requesting templates from developers. The Visual Editor enabled in-context editing, which cut down review cycles significantly. Presets and schema rules helped keep the new brand system consistent across the site. Structured content types and folders for webinars, speakers, and resources unlocked new filtering capabilities and related content features. Finally, a Content Delivery API powered a fast, decoupled front end, giving the site the flexibility and performance it needed going forward.
