7 Things You Can Now Do with Storyblok from Claude

Storyblok is now connected to Claude through the Storyblok MCP server, giving Claude direct access to your Storyblok Space through the Management API.

That means you can search, create, update, and publish content from Claude, as well as work with components, assets, releases, tags, and data sources. Claude can discover the right Storyblok operation, understand what information it needs, and carry out the task from your conversation.

Here are seven ways you can use Storyblok with Claude.

1. Find content across your Storyblok Space

Claude can search your Storyblok Space for Stories, components, assets, tags, and other content, so you can locate what you need.

You could ask:

Find all published stories that mention our autumn collection.

Or:

Show me every Story tagged “ecommerce” that was updated this year.

This can be especially useful when you’re working across large Spaces with lots of content and don’t know exactly where something lives.

2. Update existing Stories

Claude can make changes to existing Storyblok content. That could mean updating copy, changing metadata, or editing fields on a Story you’re already working on.

For example:

Update the meta description on this product page and save the change as a draft.

Or:

Replace [old product name] with [new product name] in this Story.

For quick edits and one-off cleanup, this saves a trip into the Storyblok UI.

If you need the same change applied across dozens of Stories, Storyblok’s CLI is built for deterministic, repeatable work at that scale. The MCP server is better suited to one-off changes, prototyping, and tasks that are easier to describe in a sentence than to script.

3. Create new content using your existing structure

Claude can create new Stories using the content models and components already set up in Storyblok. You could give it a brief and ask it to create a new draft using an existing structure.

For example:

Create a new campaign landing page using our existing hero, feature grid, and CTA components.

Because Claude works with Storyblok’s structured content, it can create content within the framework your team already uses.

4. Generate and update metadata

Metadata is often the last thing to get attention on a new page. Claude can help draft a title, description, or other metadata for a Story, then apply the update directly.

You might ask:

Write an SEO title and meta description for this Story based on its existing content.

This can make metadata optimization part of your regular content workflow.

5. Translate and localize existing content

If you manage content across multiple markets, Claude can help with translation workflows inside Storyblok. You can ask it to work from an existing Story, translate selected fields, and preserve the content structure.

6. Manage assets

Uploading brand new files needs shell access, so that part of the workflow currently works in Claude Code rather than Claude.ai or Claude Desktop.

7. Prepare and publish content

Claude can help move content through the final stages of your Storyblok workflow, including working with releases and publishing Stories.

Add these updated Stories to the September product launch release.

Or:

Publish the approved Stories in this release.

Storyblok’s MCP server separates read-only, content-changing, and destructive operations, so teams can control what Claude is allowed to do and where approval is required.

Before you turn Claude loose on production content, grant it the least access it needs, ask it to read back its plan before executing, and verify identifiers before any destructive operation. Testing on a development Space first is worth the extra step.
